Description

Registration is required to attend. The Urban League of Portland will launch its 2015 State of Black Oregon Report on May 5, 2015. You are cordially invited to join us as we reveal the findings of the report and present our action agenda for addressing the issues faced by Black Oregonians. The State of Black Oregon 2015 represents an ongoing collaboration by the Urban League and Black Oregonians around the state. The report tells the diverse story of Black Oregonians through data, analysis and rich Black experiences from Portland to Pendleton. It highlights the serious economic and social challenges for Black Oregon and offers firm solutions for policymakers, advocates and community activists. The State of Black Oregon 2015 charts a path for lawmakers to tackle inequity head on and create an Oregon future that fosters vibrant, productive communities and healthy generations of Black Oregonians. What is Area Events ?

AreaEvents.net is a site to promote local events. It is FREE for any organization club or business to use. When used properly, anybody can use it to “find something to do”.

It is difficult to “find something to do” when you are new in an area, or maybe you don’t have knowledge of all the different groups or how to find their websites. This calendar will make it simple to all who use it.

Who is it for?

If you have ever discovered and event too late, like when it was over, you are the perfect example of why this site was built. AreaEvents.net is built to make it easier for anyone to find the local events before they are completed.
